这里挑选的绘本是综合了网络上对绘本的各种评选结果，儿童绘本获奖情况，相关儿童绘本推荐书籍和美国各大图书馆给孩子的推荐书目等等资源综合评估挑选出来的。同时也考虑到英语作为外语学习的需要，按绘本中语言的难易程度分成初级，中级和高级绘本三大部分。初级绘本适合2-5岁孩子的心智，语言简单，对于没有英语基础的孩子，配合画面也很容易理解故事的大意的绘本。中级绘本适合3-7岁孩子，语言难度较初级绘本略有增加。故事情节也更加精彩。高级绘本适合3-10岁的孩子，语言程度比较高，每一页为一副图画配有成段落的文字。适合父母给孩子读或是进入独立阅读的孩子自己阅读。

初级绘本

适合父母读给初接触英语的孩子听的经典初级读物。 一般一页一幅画， 配有几个单词或是一两句话，语言简单，图片精美。Dr. Seuss 的很多书也适合孩子在进入阅读的时候作为初级读物来让孩子自己读。
