第一课时 词汇突破,聚焦语法 在学生预习单词的基础上,通过自学、互学、老师导学等方式扫除单词障碍;在学生谈论自己的好恶中引出本单元的定语从句。
第二课时 听说课 集中本单元的听力材料,进行听力训练;通过各种任务活动,练习本单元的语言结构.
第三课时 读写课 阅读本单元的section a3 a 和sectionb3 a阅读文章,对文章进行理解分析,并进行同步写作.
第四课时 综合训练课 通过听说读写对本单元的词.句.文进一步巩固,并增加一部分练习,适当拓展提高.

(1) prefer=choose sth rather than sth else ; like sth better
prefer的过去时、过去分词均为perferred,现在分词为preferring
(2) gentle=mild, kind, careful, not rough
(3) remind of = cause sb to remember or be newly aware of sb/sth
(4) photography = art or skill of taking photographs
(5) interest = hobby ; have interest in sth or make sb have interest in
interesting 、interested 均为形容词,interesting是修饰事物的名词,而interested是修饰人的名词。
(6)suggest = put an idea into sb’s mind , suggest的名词形式是suggestion.
(7)energy = ability to act or work with strength and eagerness

step6 the grammar: 定语从句
(1) 定义:在复合句中,修饰名词和代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词和代词叫先行词。
eg: this is the present that he gave me for my birthday.
(2) 引导定语从句的关系词有that(指人/物)which (指物) who (指人)
(3) 定语从句分限定性定语从句和非限定性定语从句。非限定性定语从句是对先行词所做的附加说明,它同主句的关系不是十分密切,即使省了, 并不影响主句意义的明确或完整。非限定性定语从句一般用“,”与主句隔开。引导非限定性定语从句 的关系代词不可省略,that不能引导非限定性定语从句。

step 1 revision
let students have a competition to dicate the new words,then make sentendces by using the target languag :the relative clauses with that and who. for example:a:i like music that i can sing along with
what about you?b:i disagree with you。i prefer music that has great lyrics。(学生在讨论的同时老师可以进行个别指导)
step 2 pre-task
play several different pieces of music,let students say what kind of music they enjoy.then say:you will hear tony and betty are talking about the kinds of music each one likes.listen carefully and check the boxes in the chart.(解释听力中要出现的目标语言)

after the students talk about their own preferences, say: now listen to a boy and a girl talk about the music and musicians they like and complete2a and 2b.play the recording.the first time only listen,the second time cirle t or f,and the third time complete the sentence.

have an english speech contest,and the topic is “my favorites”.you can talk about anything you like and try to give us the reasons. first work in groups,then choose the best to say in class.(进一步巩固上一节课的语言知识)
step 2 presentation
sectiona 3a provides reading practice using the target language. ask students to read the review on their own,when they have finished, ask stuednts to say any words or pharases that they don’t understand.then ask students to read and match up the parts of the sentences.check the answers.

ask students locate a music review or a movie review in a local newspaper.have the students read the review and take notes in english about what the reviewer said. when they finish reading, ask the students to write a paragraph saying whether they agree or disagree with what the reviewer says.
