论文（设计）题目 学生姓名 常玉婵 《呼啸山庄》中的哥特式风格 专业 英语 指导教师 周莉丽 选题目的和意义：英国女作家艾米莉·勃朗特出版的唯一一部小说《呼啸山庄》，从问世之初遭受“恐怖的、可怕的、令人作呕的小说”的讽刺，到后来被誉为“唯一一部没有被时间的的尘土淹没了光辉的杰出作品”，一方面是由于研究的深入使其艺术价值得以提升，另一方面，它也符合当代读者的阅读趣味。艾米莉的《呼啸山庄》继承了哥特式小说传统，展现给我们的是一个充满想象的哥特式世界。本文就《呼啸山庄》与哥特式小说的联系展开论述，发掘经典文本中体现的哥特式元素。同时，书中哥特式风格的成因与作者经历以及社会背景有着密不可分的联系,作者经历是最基本的决定因素;政治、经济、文化因素也对哥特式风格的形成产生了重要影响。通过研究，我们能更好的了解当时的社会背景及其对文章的影响，也能促使读者更好的理解艾米莉描绘的哥特世界。 本课题在国内外的研究状况及发展趋势：国内外的学者对于《呼啸山庄》的研究比较多元化。有些学者趋向于对主题的研究，如：张云军（2005）在《呼啸山庄》多重主题的再阐释中认为，《呼啸山庄》的主题是多层次的，诸如善与恶的冲突、罪与罚、邪恶与报应等，他对这些主题进行了重新的解释。有些学者致力于人物形象的分析，如：段于兰（2012）认为小说的主人公希斯克利夫是一个兼备人魔特质的男人形象，他被赋予了社会和时代的烙印。并从希斯克利夫性格的成因为切入点，仔细分析了其人物形象。有些学者对文章的哥特式特点进行了研究，如：董静（2007）指出《呼啸山庄》采用了大量的哥特式手法，其主题就是哥特式主题。哥特式小说的主题大多是通过家族仇恨、继承权的争夺揭示人性的邪恶和阴暗，而《呼啸山庄》的主题就涉及复仇、阴谋和继承权的争夺。在研究《呼啸山庄》的哥特式风格时，研究角度也是多样化的，如：女性哥特式小说、对哥特式的继承和创新、哥特式意象、与《简爱》中的哥特式风格进行对比分析等等。今后随着研究的深入，对《呼啸山庄》的艺术价值的研究将得到进一步的提升。 .
